Spirit Roll-Call: Protectors

The relationship I have with these three is more professional than personal. We get along fine, but two of the three prefer to do their jobs more than hang out as a friend would. That's just the way they are. There are certain spirit energies which I'm more sensitive too, usually causing me to drain completely, causing me to become dizzy, disoriented, aggressive, and all sorts of other things. Because these spirits are not actively trying to hurt me, they just need to be (nicely) steered in the other direction. It's a totally different story when something not so innocent come around...

• Niall and Fredrick - These two are my wards; they tell beings that I can't tolerate being around for too long to back off a bit. Niall is your standard gargoyle and keeps watch over me at night. Fredrick is the daytime guard, a hoblet (yes, hoblet, not hobbit). Hoblets are kind of like constructs, and Fred looks a bit like a steampunk cyborg/android kind of thing. Fredrick is the friendly one, and I think it's because Hoblets are often considered to be ugly. I disagree with that, and I think he appreciates it.
• Bylun - The previous two just direct spirits that I'm hypersensitive to away from me, but if any real trouble starts, Bylun is the back-up plan. He's a volkh, a massive spirit comprised only of pure White energy. Volkh are fiercely protective and can shift to appear as whatever their target fears most. If that doesn't work, they are devourers of evil. It's not often, but if something ever truly bad comes across my path, Bylun is the one to take care of it.
